Dalmatian Dog Clock

This puppy is just waiting for a new home!

The use of Dalmatians as carriage dogs was transferred to horse-drawn fire engines. In the United States, Dalmatians are commonly known as “Firehouse dog.”

The Dalmatian is also associated with the Anheuser-Busch company's iconic beer wagon (always accompanied by a Dalmatian carriage dog). Dalmatians were historically used by brewers to guard the wagon while the driver was making deliveries.

The Dalmatian breed is also popular as a result of the 1956 novel “The Hundred and One Dalmatians” written by British author Dodie Smith, and later due to the two Walt Disney films based on the book.

Perfect gift for yourself or anyone who collects Dalmatians. Handmade, unique, and one-of-a-kind paper clock. The heart pendulum contains a decorative clock face.

The clocks are handmade in the the United States. The paper used, which was created in the artist’s studio, is made out of cotton rag and abaca, a plant that belongs to the banana family. Each color used in the creation of a clock is an individual sheet of the paper, 10 inches in diameter, infused with all-natural dyes and dyed the specific color needed. Leftover pieces are reused to make black paper.

The base for these distinctive sculptures is expanding foam, which is sculpted into the desired shape…ready for the application of the paper. The result is an exceptional work of art which is not only lightweight, but also highly durable.

These exquisite creations are one of a kind…the artist has retired. If you see one you like, get it now.
